What does the WSET® Level 4 Diploma in Wines program offer?
The programme delivers an in-depth and structured journey through all key areas of wine. You will study viticulture, winemaking, maturation, packaging, wine business and marketing, and the detailed styles of still, sparkling and fortified wines from around the world. A key element is the independent research assignment, which develops your academic and analytical skills.
At GBZ Koblenz, you benefit from exclusive additions: high-level science lectures held at the Weincampus Neustadt, guided excursions to German and international wineries, and additional support such as tasting workshops and writing coaching. Furthermore, selected modules from the IHK-certified “Geprüfter Sommeliermeister/-in” are included, offering added value and certification.

You study the productionmethods and acquire in-depth product knowledge and commercial understanding for the major sparkling wines of France, Spain, Italy, Germany and the New World.
D5 Fortified Wines
You study the productionmethods and acquire in-depth product knowledge and commercial understanding for the major fortified wines of Spain, Portugal, France and the New World.
D6 Independent research
You will research a specified wine-related subject, demonstrating your knowledge and understanding of the topic using relevant source material to develop ideas and arguments to reach informed conclusions.
