WSET® Level 3 Award in Wines: Professional Wine Knowledge for Experts
This course provides in-depth product knowledge and expert-level tasting skills. Upon completion, you will be able to identify a wine’s style and assess its quality. The WSET® Level 3 Award in Wines is highly regarded within the wine industry and can enhance your prospects for roles such as sommelier.
It is also a prerequisite for progressing to the WSET® Level 4 Diploma in Wines, which is delivered in English only.

➨ Course dates: 6 days: 11–13 & 25–27 July 2025 (Saturday to Monday), from 09:30 to 18:00
➨ Assessment: The final examination consists of two parts:
Practical: Blind tasting of two wines
Theory: A written paper with 50 multiple-choice questions and four short written-answer questions
To pass the course, candidates must achieve a minimum of 55% in both parts.
➨ Entry requirements: Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
This course is not suitable for beginners.
Completion of the WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines or an equivalent level of knowledge is strongly recommended.
➨ Recommended preparation: A thorough understanding of the study materials is essential for success.
We recommend a minimum of 55 hours of private study in addition to classroom learning. Support will be provided throughout your preparation.
➨ Study pack: The study pack will be sent to you immediately after registration.
➨ Course fee: €1,495.00
(Note: exempt from VAT under § 4 No. 21 a) bb) of the German VAT Act [UStG])
➨ The course fee includes: WSET® Level 3 study pack, course materials, quiz-questions, tuition, water, coffee and snacks during breaks, examination fee, postage, tasting of 75 wines, and the WSET® certificate upon successful completion.
