WSET® Level 1 Award in Wines – The Perfect Introduction to the World of Wine

The WSET® Level 1 Award in Wines is the ideal beginner qualification for anyone with no prior knowledge. This one-day, in-person course provides a practical introduction to the fundamentals of wine, focusing on sensory perception, wine types and styles, winemaking, wine service, and basic principles of food and wine pairing.

➨ Course Date: Saturday, 28 February 2026, from 09:30 to 18:00

➨ Registration Deadline: 24 February 2026 (or while places are available)

➨ What to Expect:

• Key knowledge of wine types and styles
• Introduction to wine tasting (tasting of 11 wines)
• Basic understanding of wine production
• Guidance on wine service and storage
• Simple rules for food and wine matching
• Preparation for the multiple-choice exam (30 questions to be completed in 45 minutes)
