What to Expect
The WSET® Level 1 Award in Wines is specifically designed to provide you with an easy-to-follow yet comprehensive introduction to the world of wine. You’ll not only be introduced to the art of viticulture, but also gain knowledge about key wine types and styles. From vine to wine, you’ll understand the essential steps that make a great wine.
An Interactive Learning Experience
Get ready to immerse yourself in the hands-on world of wine tasting. As part of the seminar, you’ll taste 6 carefully selected wines. Guided by our experienced instructors, you’ll learn how to use the WSET® Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® – a method that helps you professionally analyze and assess wines.
At the end of the course, you’ll take a 45-minute multiple-choice exam. With a minimum score of 70%, you’ll earn the coveted WSET® Level 1 Award in Wines – a certificate that not only highlights your passion for wine but also adds valuable credentials to your professional profile.

Die Deutsche Wein- und Sommelierschule gehört zu den führenden Anbietern in der professionellen Aus- und Weiterbildung von Sommeliers für Gastronomie und Handel. Seit 2008 bietet sie berufsbegleitende Weiterbildungen auf Sommelier-Niveau an.
