WSET® Level 3 Award in Sake – Blended Learning [EN] –
Dieses Seminar findet in englischer Sprache statt!
The WSET Level 3 Award in Sake is designed to give a thorough understanding of the factors that account for the style and quality of sake as well as its commercial importance in the Japanese and export markets. The qualification will assist those who are required to make professional evaluations of sakes with regard to their quality and commercial value. The qualification provides the in-depth knowledge
required to underpin job skills and competencies, for example in product selection in the retail and hospitality sectors.
Successful candidates will be able to describe the characteristics of the principal sake categories and give information concerning the key factors influencing style and quality. They will consequently be in a position to advise management, to answer customer queries authoritatively, and to make informed selections of sakes in a variety of situations.
Unit 1 is assessed by a closed-book exam of 50 multiple-choice questions and a paper of short written answers. Unit 2 is assessed by a blind tasting of two sakes.
The seminar will be led by Ms Yoshiko Ueno-Müller, known as an expert on sake and other Japanese luxury foods, and has been an educator at our German Wine and Sommelier School for many years.
The lessons and the examination will be held in English. Candidates sitting in English where it is not their first language are strongly
recommended to have IELTS at 6.5 or above or be able to demonstrate an equivalent ability level.
Registered participants will receive the English-language study pack as an e-book with the confirmation of registration as well as an access to the WSET® online learning campus to the online Level 3 Sake Pre-Study.
